Personal accident plan

This plan provides an affordable means of protecting the family from the financial effects of accidental death and accidental permanent disability. The policyholder may extend cover to include several dependents.

Pays 100% of the sum assured on accidental permanent and total disability of the policyholder and/or the spouse.

Funeral benefit equal to 10% of the accidental cover on death of the policyholder and/or their spouse.

Cash benefit

Cash benefit for each day spent in hospital, where the cause of hospitalization is an accident.

Key features

  • The plan will pay 100% of the sum assured on accidental permanent and total disability of the policyholder and/or the spouse. If the disability of the policyholder is due to an accident, partial though permanent (i.e., loss of one eye, loss of one hand or loss of one leg), the plan will pay 50% of the accidental cover.
  • It offers the policyholder the option of having the premium automatically increase either by 5% or 10% on an annual basis on the anniversary date of the plan.

What can you expect?

  • You have the option to include your spouse (Maximum of 1) and ⁄ or your children (up to a maximum of 5).
  • Children’s cover will cease at age 21 (or 25 if fulltime student), whilst the policyholder and spouse’s cover continue provided the plan remains active.
