Umbrella Group Last Expense Product
This cover provides a lump sum payout to ease the financial burden of funeral costs, ensuring a dignified send-off for you and your loved ones.
Death benefit
100% of the sum assured (up to KES 1,000,000) upon death from natural, illness or accidental causes.
Accidental Disability
Pays up to 100% of the sum assured in the event that the policyholder, spouse and children suffer a total and permanent disability due to an accident.
Critical illness
Pays up to 50% of the current sum assured subject to a maximum of KES 500,000, paid on first ever diagnosis of a defined critical illness, with balance payable upon death or accidental disability
What can you expect?
- Eligibility - Available for individuals and registered groups
- Entry age - Principal & Spouse (18-69), Additional Adults (1-64), Parents (35-84), Children (2 weeks-21 years; cover up to 25 years with proof of ongoing schooling).
- Minimum Cover Amount - KES 100,000
- Maximum Cover Amount - Principal & Spouse (KES 1,000,000), Parents, Children & Additional Adults (KES 200,000), Children under 10 years (KES 100,000).
- Waiting Periods
- Illness-related Death: One month for principal, spouse, and children; three months for parents and additional adults.
- Accidental PTD: No waiting period for Permanent Total Disability (PTD)
- Critical Illness: 180 days
