Endowment Plan
The plan provides life protection through financial security to your loved ones upon the occurrence of either death, disability, or critical illness. The plan also pays the specific maturity benefits at the end of the premium paying term.
Death
Get up to 100% of the sum assured in natural/accidental death without any waiting period.
Disability
Pays up to 100% of the sum assured in the event that the policyholder suffers a total and permanent disability.
Critical illness
Pays up to 50% of the current sum assured subject to a maximum of KES 5M, paid on 1st ever diagnosis.
Medical underwriting
The policyholder will be required to perform medical tests where total sum assured exceeds Kes 20M across active policies, or if any medical question is answered to the affirmative.
Key features
- Accidental death - 0 to 12th month: current sum assured, 13th month onwards: double current sum assured. No waiting period.
- Maturity benefit - A lump sum payable upon both the policy remaining active for the entire duration until the end of the premium-paying term and the policyholder surviving.
- Accidental hospitalisation benefit - The plan will pay 0.2% of the sum assured for each day spent in hospital per life assured.
- Automatic benefit increase - Offers the policyholder the option of having the premium automatically increase either by 5% or 10% on an annual basis on the anniversary date of the plan.
- Once the premium waiver benefit is activated on the plan, paying premiums under this plan is no longer required.
